Tara Andrea Mykytiuk was formally educated in Interior Architecture and Design and practices residential and commercial design at Lyle Architects' office in downtown Toronto. Tara studied Interior Architecture and Design for six years in both Canada and the US, and is now mentored by an Architect who has worked for some of North America's most acclaimed firms including IM Pei's Pei Cobb Freed and Partners in New York & KPMB in Toronto. Tara's diverse portfolio includes an array of innovative interiors and exteriors that mix sharp industrial pieces with softer organic elements. Tara's projects are often characterized by a neutral palette accented with bold pops of colour. This combination provides a sense of spaciousness and a crisp, clean backdrop for artful living.

Tara's eclectic approach to design mirrors her own multi-disciplined background. While pursuing her education, Tara was discovered by an Agent while on vacation with her family and subsequently began acting and modeling at the age of 16. Her credits include national and international bookings with Becel, Blistex, Carolans Irish Cream, Khols, and MTV among others. Tara's experience in the fashion, entertainment, architecture, and design industries have combined to prepare her for her role as the Designer Host of HGTV's Marriage Under Construction II.
