@GrizrazRex It is a shame the author lost his fight to his addiction.

This song serves to illustrate Thoreau's famous quote about living a life of quiet desparation. The song's author at least is aware of this desparation, and shares it, as a means of showing his discontent with it. I am in a similar place, but my crutch is ganja. If I smoke enough today, I will at least make it to bed, and likely see tomorrow, when I will again have the self-debate to start the day. It is that debate where this song lives.

This song comes from the perspective of one with general feelings of despair, absurdity, pointlessness, and utter loathing for most people around them. A careful read of the lyrics shows that the promise of a new day, with a buzz at the end of it, has helped the author defeat a suicidal impulse one more time. If you ever find yourself in such a place, this song will speak to you.

@elluart0609 ohh ik. I wanted to have the song up, cause it's tough to find the more minor Gin Blossoms songs on youtube, regardless of the quality
