Cop, Anarchist, Black, White, Rich, Poor, Leftwing and Rightwing ...it's all one bird.

"We are the 99%"

I appreciate diversity in those who identify as "anarchist". This video wasn't intended to generalize Portlanders engaging in various capacities toward resisting oppressive economic and social stratification. Understand, it's directed at two people specifically.

I can actually appreciate and respect people's need or want to remain anonymous by covering their faces. But I have a big problem with anyone, Cops, Anarchist, or whomever, exploiting peaceful groups of people.

...Strategies of Wisdom, Successfully Implemented...
(c/o An Anonymous 1960's Activist)

I. Power is not only what you have but what The Opposition thinks you have.

II. Never go outside the experience of your people.

III. Whenever possible, go outside the experience of The Opposition.

IV. Make The Opposition live up to their own book of rules.

V. Ridicule is man's most potent wisdom.

VI. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.

VII. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.

VIII. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, & utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

IX. The threat is usually more terrifying then the thing itself.

X. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon The Opposition.

XI. If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counter-side.

XII. The price of a successful aggression is a constructive alternative.

XIII. Pick the issue, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

  • i like the way you talk -- good enunciation. but you don't know anybody you're arguing against FYI, that's part of the frustration. it takes privilege to identify as an anarchist, where some grow up that word is unknown. but the argument from anarchist to privilege does not go far till the dead end. And there's lots of different anarchists in portland, not everyone does the same thing. check out the website Grey Coast Anarchist News, post some links if you want to.
