@schmarahkhaddar Oh, I'm not at all involved in the healthcare field, and I NEVER got the impression that "Nurse Betty" was belittling all the dedication and hard work and value nurses provide to anybody's healthcare system. She's only trying to hammer home the shortcomings and practical impracticalities that are associated with any kind of socialized/government-run healthcare (such as the Candadian family desperately trying to get permission to have their son moved to the U.S. for treatment).

Just like Dennis Miller says (and, he lives here, too,), California is a "Ship of Fools." Drs. came in like 3 xs a day--unless the surgeon's... the ob floor--the nurses RAN the floors I was on. I gotta tell you I don't have a friend who's as caring as Sharise is. She is the kind of person nurses love to see--when her Dad was sick and hospitalized she stayed with him--the nurses didn't have to worry if he was needing anything bc she was there.

She is not on a campaign to belittle anybody---I Love her Rhonda Hillbilly character and you can't get much more tarheel than I am! Peace*

@TuesdayisGone08 . Nurses do have a great sense of humor...we have to, so we can cope with a lot of serious shit. I'm just getting fed up with the sexualization of nurses in the media. At first glance, this video does seem funny. Why is it that nurses are underpaid and underrecognized? Why are we having trouble recruiting nurses? Because THIS is the public's perception of what we do. Sit at a desk and stare at doctors in admiration, batting our eyelashes.
