Part 1 - A dull, cloudy day plane spotting at the end of runway 33 (at Long Stay Car Park 1) at my local airport, Birmingham International, again on my own. I was very glad it was cloudy today of all days due to the fact that the sun ruined my take off videos last time, and also runway 33 was in use today for once due to the fact that there was a strong southwesterly crosswind affecting runway 15, meaning I could film much better videos and get some great close up photos from a variety of different angles. As Birmingham Airport is one of the very few airports in the UK that has a north/south facing runway, it is more prone to crosswinds. I have recorded a variety of departures and arrivals at the airport and taken pictures of them to go with the videos, and used my binoculars for the first time so I knew exactly what planes were approaching at the time :) As I spent a long time there and because the take offs take up a lot of time in the video, there are 5 parts to this video, please go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLEep9LWXic for part 2, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMS5oPW5pAI for part 3, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hGUTdiDmTw for part 4, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wcjda9pGsc for part 5.
Here is a list of the planes that can be seen in this video. If there are any mistakes please point them out:
1) BMI Baby B737-300 (Take Off)
2) Lufthansa E195 (Landing)
3) SAS A319-131 (Take Off), Flybe Dash 8-Q400 (Take Off) and Flybe Dash 8-Q400 (Take Off)
4) Lufthansa B737-300 (Take Off)
5) Turkish Airlines A321-231 (Landing)
6) Helvetic Airways Fokker 100 (Landing)
7) KLM B737-800 (Take Off)
8) Flybe Dash 8-Q400 (Landing)
9) Sky Wings A320-200 (Take Off)
10) Ryanair B737-800 (Landing)
11) Thomson B757-200 (Landing)

@reedyspeedy12 Yes you do walk to the roundabout into the car park, all you do then it walk to the very end car park and you will find a big hill of concrete which you can stand on to see over the fence. When are you planning on going?

mate how much does it cost for the car park for like 2 hrs. and do you need a car to enter there. i want to go there.thanks in advance

@scorpionking6191 I am not sure because I dont drive, which means yes it is ok to enter there by foot because this is near where the viewing area is situated, but its not that good so I decide to spot here instead through a gap in the fence. Some spotters pull there car up for like 5 mins, take a few photos of rare planes and drive off, but they have to be quick because there are always police walking around. I spot in the long stay only car park, so you wont be able to park here...
