This is a song I wrote for my Physics class entitled "Ode to Physics." It focuses mainly on aspects of Quantum Mechanics (e.g. Wave-Particle Duality, Quantum Non-Locality and Schrodingers Cat). Enjoy!
Lyrics:
"Chorus"
Oh, the Mighty world of physics
is phenomenal and strange.
When you study Quantum Theory
it can start to stretch your brain.
"Verse"
Well, Quantum Mechanics
is the study of the small.
Of the vast atomic particles
that comprise our lives and all.
One of the strangest things that physics
has taught humanity,
Is in the quantum world
we only measure probabilities!
"Chorus"
"Verse 2"
Sometimes with quantum theory
you need to shift your state of mind.
To a place that may repudiate
Old Newtons paradigm!
Why don't we take a particle, you'd think thats what it is?
But it can act like a wave, some people say what gives?
It also works vice-versa, with experiments we see
that it's because of something called Wave-Particle Duality.
"Chorus"
"Verse 3"
Well, Einstein didn't like Quantum Non-locality.
But its tests have been verified, experimentally.
Could this be some super-luminal telepathy?
Or yet another stranger thing we can't yet all perceive?
"Alt. Chorus"
Oh the Mighty world of physics
is phenomenal and strange.
With its multitude of theories,
it can start to hurt your brain.
"Verse 4"
Well Good ol' Quantum Theory
is incredible that's that.
I guess I'll just feel bad
for poor old Schrodingers cat.
"Chorus"
END
I hope your familiar with Symphony of Science you tube it you wont be diappointed.
