  • When/where was this recorded?

  • @salome47 It is from Elina Garanca's CD, Aria Cantilena.

  • Perfection- no one singer overpowers the other. Just exquisite. Thank you, Lilith. This made my day......

  • My pleasure! :D They really are just perfect for the roles. Pieczonka's Marschallin is my favourite <3 No need to talk about Diana xD

  • Beyond exquisite. Thank you.

  • You are very welcome. Thanks for commenting!

  • I know this opera STARTS with an orgasm, but I'd have to say the real orgasm is at 3:27 of this clip :). Just breathtaking!

  • wow, this sounds like music. Talent, well defined structure... harmonies, subtlety, skill... ahhh.... sigh. *arrives at happy place* thanks for posting. has to be one of Strauss' most gorgeous pieces of work.

  • @spn1007 Absolutely the reigning mezzo is DiDonato. I wouldn't even count Bartoli because she already transcends the mezzo status :)

  • absolutely divine

  • How lovely; they're perfect!

  • I've also become a great fan of hers, but there are some telltale signs that her voice may not be getting the support it needs. But she's young and hopefully will get stronger. I think the true reigning mezzo right now is DiDonato. But Elina is wonderful. Can't wait to hear her Carmet at the Met this year
