Below in the local mine of a small town, miners make their way down through the tunneling darkness to begin work for the day. As the mine is the backbone of this small community it is a necessary routine that keeps the local economy running. Above, their families and other town folk live their lives with no idea of the life altering events that will literally shake the very foundation of their beliefs and emotional stability.

As a catastrophic event rocks a small town, deep seeded prejudices boil to the surface, threatening any hope of a collaborative rescue effort. Everyone is now forced to re-evaluate their lives; salvation is found through the ones not expected.
