ST-LINK The ST-LINK is an in-circuit JTAG debugger and programmer for the STM8 and STM32 microcontroller families produced by ST Microelectronics. The PC connection and power supply is through USB interface. The debugger connects to target boards via the JTAG interface (for STM32 microcontrollers) or via the SWIM interface (for STM8 microcontrollers). The features of the JTAG programmer:• JTAG connector (compatible with ARM) used for programming STM32 microcontrollers; • 3 V to 3.6 V application voltage supported on JTAG interface; • supports all the features of the SWIM interface when used with STM8 microcontrollers: low-speed and high-speed modes supported, connection with an ERNI standard, connection to 2.54 mm pitch connector, 1.65 V to 5.5 V application voltage supported; • ST Visual Develop - STVD (version 4.1.0 or later) is used for in-circuit debugging of STM8 microcontrollers; • ST Visual Program - STVP (version 3.1.0 or later) is used for in-circuit programming of STM8 microcontrollers; • To program and debug STM32 microcontrollers, the debugger/programmer may be driven by the following applications: Atollic toolset TrueSTUDIO (version 1.0 or later), IAR toolset EWARM (version 5.30 or later) and Keil toolset ARM-MDK (version 3.3 or later); • Direct update feature supported; Supplied with discs with the necessary software.
