A quick video by Bob Maiocco Denver's Real Estate Guy showing the overpass of Richmond Hill Road over US Highway 285 during Conifer's biggest snow storm of 2009. Conifer, which is just West of Denver and South of Evergreen received over 30" of snow which caused highway closures and power outages across Conifer and Evergeen. The next day it was a perfect Bluebird day--not a cloud in the sky and temperatures rose into the fifties!

  • I remember this!!! At 8,000 feet, there was 4 FEET of heavy wet snow! No one could go anywhere. Power was out for 60 hours at my parents' place. Many old trees had broken-down branches. Six months later (Oct 2009), another "perfect storm" covered the same areas. That also gave us 4 feet in the foothills, and 2 feet in Denver.

  • True--it doesn't look like a foot of snow to me either but it was a BIG storm and I think the total accumulation was greater than a foot. We have had significantly more snow than that storm--including a 30+ incher in Conifer a few years ago.

  • that doesn't look like a foot of snow. in any case it's way less than what they can get there. at least, we used to get a lot more when I was living there. good video, though. takes me back and wakes up a lot of good memories :)))

  • Nice Video
