In the past few years, we have experienced a dramatic rise in the number of electronic devices—cell phones, digital cameras, laptops, etc.—that we use in our everyday lives. Most of these devices are powered by batteries which need to be recharged very often. The costs, resources and management of multiple, incompatible power cords, bricks, etc. are already a nightmare for the typical user. WREL, in contrast to surface-based systems (―power pads‖), demonstrates wireless power transfer whose efficiency can be nearly independent of orientation, distance, and load over a wide range of operating conditions. This technology could allow people to cut that last cord.

Yeh because magnetic resonance is completely a form of ionising radiation...

It's funny how the "carcinogenic" buzz word has spread to include everything involving electricity...

  • This is what i call: "Cancer generator" :D

  • @MikeOng18 It is possible except it is wastes a lot of energy so bummer, but their working on it :)

  • @Potenzainmanomia wrong, magnetic radiation would have to be generated from black hole larger than the size of Jupiter to cause cancers, magnetism is always their in the body, or object it is generated by each an every atom, it is what causes people or objects to not fall through each other (remember 90% of an atom is free space, it is the magnetism that keeps thing apart)

  • This works with AC only, right? If so, then you still need bricks to convert that transmitted AC into a DC signal with the appropriate voltage to charge your device :s?

  • is WREL has an effect for body?

  • Now, extend the range for a smaller house and were starting to talk bitch! :D

  • @pathshifter yeah Tesla idea.....

why this does not exist for the customers ???

because we have huge companies that make CU wire and etc....

it's like eletric cars....why will we never have this ??? cause we have big companies that sell oil.......

  • @Potenzainmanomia r u afraid ???
