Most of the time when a 2 stroke string trimmer wont start it is the fuel lines. They can become brittle with age and will crack in spots that you cant see. They can crack in such a way as to not leak fuel but will suck air when engine is running. If your furl lines are discolored and the trimmer is not running correctly or at all change the lines first.
