On Saturday 13th December 2008 the first ever train (only for staff) was taken through the brand new tunnel! After 3 months of hard work it was a major milestone in the redevlopment of the miniature railway. The locomotive in use was the resident Hunslet pulling the two Sit a Stride coaches.

  • Yeh we have. We spent 5 months working on it and its an absoulute treat! Really adds to the experience!

  • Oh that was done on purpose so there would be lots of steam in the tunnel. It is on an incline but the engine could have done it easyily. We stopped there so e could go back through the tunnel again! It's that good! :-)
