@superwowman100 At 2011 blizzcon Dungeon and Raid Q&A panel, they said that the abyssal maw was breifly consitered and they decided not to use it because the story line of the abyssal maw did not line up with futur patch lore.so they trashed it.

This isn't abyssal maw it's a different dungeon called Throne of The tides however, there WILL be a new dungeon in a later cata patch that's a 5-man dg called Abyssal Maw its a continuation of Throne of The Tides
