Today on this 2002 Honda Civic we are going to be installing wiring harness 119176KIT. The first thing we have to do is clean out the trunk so we can access our tail lights but we are going to do that by removing the bottom carpet and then we are going to fold back the side carpet here to access our tail lights. We are going to take out these plastic screw rivets here and that should be the only one we need to remove on the driver side. Just pull back the trunk liner. You can see we have access to our tail lights on the driver side. Now with this wiring harness there is no T-Connector so we are going to have to splice into the existing wire for our harness to work. First we are going to run in ground using the existing wire and the self taping screw. We are just going to drill it into the sheet metal so we have a solid ground to work off of when we are testing our wires. 00:55

We are going to test our wires to see which ones we are going to tap into. We are just going to do one step at a time. We are going to do the running lights which is going to be the red with the orange stripe and we are going to be tapping that on our module and it is going to be our brown wire. We are going to connect our wires together using a quick connects. As you can see we found our left turn signal. It is going to be the green with the red stripe and on our module it is going to be our yellow wire. Find our brake light signal and it is going to be the white one so we are going to attach our red wire from our module to our white wire. Now that we have got our wires all connected together we are going to take the module and attach it to the inside, down and out of the way. 01:49

Now that we have got our module out of the way we are going to run our green wire underneath the carpet on the side. Set aside our plug wire. We are going to run the green wire all the way to the passenger side tail light and we are going to tap the green wire into our turn signal. Now we are going to find our turn signal wire. It is going to be the green wire for the right turn signal just like the other side of the vehicle. Attach it the same way. Now that we have got all our wires hooked up you can put the passenger carpet back up in position and out of the way. We have one more wire we have to run and it is going to be the 12 volt power wire that we are going to run to the front. We are actually going to pull it out and then put the rest of the carpeting back together. 02:46
