A quick tutorial on how to add a link to a Flash banner. We are using images created in Photoshop and using Adobe Flash CS4, ActionScript 3. This tutorial will not show you how to convert an image to a button symbol. There are plenty of tutorials for that. If you just need the code to make a link active in your Flash banner, and a few easy steps to apply it, then this tutorial is for you.
The code is below. Make sure you change the three elements (as described in the video) to suit your own needs.
YouTubeBTN.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, myButtonFunction1);
function myButtonFunction1(event: MouseEvent) { var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://www.youtube.com/Collabovies"); navigateToURL(request);
}
That's it. Thanks for watching! Thanks to Rick Vanman for the great music!
