2009 Snow Emergency Ticket

This is when I received a ticket for being legally parked after a snow emergency.

Myself and many other on my block were ticketed after the snow was plowed curb to curb. The the initial city offical denied that I was right, giving me total crap about why. Honestly, he really was just passing by the whole issue to scam for money...not even kidding. My option of not paying the reduced rate he offered me with the valid proof that I was legally parked there.... were way to expensive, so I paid it.

I knew I was still right though and that is where Channel 5, KSTP, News in the Twin Cities came in and helped. I was able to make a change to the tickets to have a dispute number printed after I left the office of the guy for the snow plowing coordinating with a happy piece of mind. They also decided to can the company that was doing the ticketing and take it on themselves because they were having so many problems, hence the last part of the video and others in my same situation on multiple different snow emergency days. The school shown where those two workers harassed people getting tickets, was just down the block from my house too. It is quite likely that they could have wrote my ticket!

Also, that day... same day as the plane going down in the Hudson River in New York and a cold snap in the Twin Cities... 15 below at the time of the newscast. If you notice, my hometown of New Prague was delayed by two hours on the bottom of the screen. I believe the overnight low was in the negative 20's that night. I have the full newscast for anyone interested. :-)
