Macgeek2004 is correct in his lucid argument. Furthermore, temp12temp12 is clinging to the defense of what will be but a mere chapter in the book of mythologies of mankind a thousand years from today.
No, but seriously, dude. You should be embarrassed.
ISLAM was the *DEATH* of that intellectual age, NOT it's SOURCE! Can't you see that??? Oh well...I guess we should just be glad that your "Allah" seems to be ignorant of Atomic theory. Lol!
I mean, let me lay this out for you:
1. Arab Golden Age of Intellect
2. Rise of Islam
3. End of that Golden Age and the Beginning of the Arab Dark Age
Dude, did you know that more academic books are translated into Spanish PER YEAR than have EVER been translated into Arabic in the 1400 FUCKING YEARS following the rise of Islam?
I mean, I guess the question we should REALLY be posing to you is, "Have you ever read anything OTHER than the Quar'an???" LOL! I mean, by your logic of "superior intellect," if you feel it necessary to drop to your knees to praise Allah and his prophet "Dr. Neil Degrasse
Goddamn, do you Muslims NEVER study history or something???? You keep getting this backwards! Yes, around 600 CE, the middle east was the center of academia and intellectual thought around the world. THEN do you know what happened? Islamic extremists (aka Muhammad and his followers) rose to power, declared that science and math were "tools of the devil," and BANNED all intellectual thought, dragging the entire Arab world into an Dark Age from which it has _STILL_ yet to recover i
Does Jesus taste better when he sits on a Ritz! Hey Preach! I'll have a little cheese on my Jesus, if you please! May I wash him down with Amber Bach Dark Lager Beer instead of just wine?
@temp12temp12 The only certainty possible is that of uncertainty. Knowing that you don't know much is humble. Claiming that you know god & god knows all is the height of arrogance. Even the most intelligent philosophers, scientists, socialists, etc. are susceptible to religion because of the unknown. Intellectual honesty is not found in religion because it requires faith instead of knowledge. It requires the conscious disregard of reason in favor of dogma. Dogma is not rational it's religious.
@temp12temp12 I'm so sad to think that a theologically bankrupt person like you can spout this amount of casuistry in order to defend his weak faith towards Allah. People who believe entirely in the Quran are people of great faith and strict adherents of the teachings of Muhammed.
@temp12temp12 do you read what you write? let me quote you "were the most intelligent in history" now normally that would be called quote mining but it actually proves what you were trying to say. Anytime you say "BEST EVER IN HISTORY" or even hint at it. It shows your arrogance your lack of actual knowledge of the world that you do not know. You'll no doubt convince yourself that your correct because you stand on a foundation of lies that holds no truth that can only be seen through a prism
I'm shocked that you think Muslims believe in the Quran, because the Quran says they should. U serious you think Muslims are that stupid? We believe in the Quran because of the Tremendous historical and current evidence of miracles that it brings. One of which is the ability to preserve it (more 10 million people memorize the Quran by heart globally in case you didn't know). Another are scientific miracles. See this for more info:
Don't blame you, since you have never been as certain of God as Muslims are. If you think Muslims are ignorant that just follow a book they think is from God, then go back are study the history of philosophy and science and you will discover that some of the greatest Muslim philosophers, scientists, socialists, naturalists...etc... were the most intelligent in history and yet were very intellectually honest and absolutely certain of their beliefs
