I really liked both of your paintings! I don't know whether you consider yourself to be particularly artistic, but there is definitely something to be said for painting for the sake of painting. I wish I would do that more often (I am not artistic at all).

That is a really great painting! I like the idea of setting aside time for a creative output because I feel like that tends to be the first thing that gets ignored in a busy schedule, at least for me it does.
