The Move - Ella James 1971

Sweet little girls and your money
No she don't wanna know me at all ooh ooh
Who's she gonna use?
What's she gonna lose?
Been with Ella James too long

Time to get up but I can't afford a cab
To the job where I work not at all ooh ooh
Have you got a hand?
Give it to me man
Been with Ella James too long - alright!

Who's she gonna lose?
What's she gonna use now?
She was hasting to throw me down
Will she ever pass to another class now?
And she's waiting to throw me down - alright!

Sweet little girls and your money
No you she don't wanna know me at all ooh ooh
Who's she gonna use?
What's she gonna lose?
Been with Ella James too long - o yeah!

  • richard tandy was there already hahaha on guitars, ultra cool video thanks a lot pal

  • Did you actually listen to the lyrics before you typed them out?

    No?

    Thought not.

  • Oh yeah, this rocks! Can't play it loud enough/

  • I preferred The Move after Jeff joined. The songs got a little more grungy.

  • Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne were songwriters, very good songwriters !! They never set out to write music for friggin Dr Who!!..Yes Lynne was commisioned to write the soundtrack to the God awful movie `Xanadu` but im sure he`s got over that by now...Check out the film `Boogie nights` the Roy Wood penned `Feel too good` features or check out `Heartbeat` which features `Flowers in the rain`...another Roy Wod song..or `Life on Mars` which features `See my baby Jive`..Grammatically correct....i hope x

  • My God - they were so great.

  • @davo7461 very well said mate!

  • CONTINUED-->Pardon my grammatic goofs...But as I was saying, Jeff Lynne may hang out in bars with Ringo Starr. He also made 2 great albums with other star(R)s, Tom Petty, Gorge Harrison, Bob Dylan & ROY ORBISON. Some of which had songs that Lynne was featured as lead singer!). The man did great stuff with 2 Beatles. I've pointed out Lynne's pretty darn good career. I'll open to hear from anyone about Woods famous/often played songs that get featured in Dr.WHO & other shows.

  • I've heard maybe 2 song by Wood outside the Move aside from stuff people(not radio or TV) had to show me. OfCOURSE Wood is a genius! But I don't hear his music in many different movie(yes, Xanadu was a awful flop. But 'Don't Walk Away' , 'All Over The World', 'Im Alive', and to be fair, Lynne's remake of 'Xanadu' are music I here OFTEN. Lynne's Music is feature on 'Doctor Who' and in a various commercials. WE(this includes you & I) don't here Wood's stuff in populars circles, do we. MORE-->

  • Hey Matshoppahulle...Get a grip... so See my baby jive and Angel fingers are quite forgettable...i think not...Roy Wood is a Genius...and recently awarded many accolades by his piers, unlike Mr Lynne...who just hangs around bars in LA with Joe Walsh and Ringo Starr...so lets get to the instantly forgettable ELO no1 with Olivia newton john....Hot man...hot...although i do agree ELO produced shit after `Out of the blue`...Keep the faith my mate x
