  • My kiddos just turned 2 & 3 and they just blow my mind. They read in English, Spanish, a few hundred words so far in Russian and are dabbling in Chinese. They sing in solfege. recognize notes, are learning to read and play music, etc. My son recognizes quantity & can pick out a card with 46 dots on it, they both skip count and add/subtract. I have the utmost respect for the parents that take the time to START EARLY to develop their kids' full potential~! They're worth it!

  • @c335358 I have no doubt that early learning was the start of her fascinating journey! Teaching infants and toddlers to read is one of the best gifts you can give them. I have used both YBCR, YCCR,and others. YBCR is a great starting point IMO, but I am still partial to Little Reader. They are both valid methods, but LR introduces 3,000 words versus YBCR's 300. Ideally, parents can really use both simultaneously for reinforcement IMO, but if I had to pick just ONE it would be LR.

  • @TeachingMyToddlers

I would say that with my daughter now entering John Hopkins CTY at 8 years old Dr Titzers Your Baby Can Read and Your Child Can Read videos were the source of this amazing journey! Our daughters are in the GATE programs two years ahead of other children their age and now entering John Hopkins because I don't want to jump them any higher in their school socially speaking. So the John Hopkins CTY allows accredited online learning..very happy at this point~

  • We taught our kids to read using BrillKids Little Reader. It's roughly the same price as Your Baby Can Read but you get a lot more bang for your buck because it's customizable software. Plus you can use BKAFF40902 to save a little more $. They offer a 2 week trial period but unlike YBCR, they don't require a credit card upfront. All babies can learn to read!! If you spend 5 minutes on the BrillKids forums you will literally find hundreds of babies reading. Good job teaching your baby!

  • Update; Mallory is now 7 years old and going into the 4th grade. She received Academic award for Math speed timed test scoring 100%. Her STAR test has just come in and Mallory scored in the Academic range and was gapped above all the other children across the State of CA in the Math and Lang. Arts or all subjects tested in.. IMPORTANT TO NOTE that all the other children are TWO years older then Mallory...so..anyways..for this summer..Mallory is setting up her own website..and..proraming games~

  • @TheBebeaaron

I think with Mallory she was the first and had no interference from a sibling early on..but Emily was able to pick it up in about the same amount of time..Emily her younger sister is reading books already and doing math...this program..is for real...My brother was like Einstein..not me..not every child will learn..its my job to provide the tools...to water the innate qualities..like a flower..I do not push them..they are just off the chart...amazes me daily

  • @Jukoe08

I can tell you that Mallory was reading 62 wpm before starting school, and is currently learning formula and algebra. She started 3rd grade at 6 and will start 4th at 7..so far she is straight A student in all catagories. She is doing mental math currently as well. For example in her head she is squaring two digit numbers like 95X95 ..in seconds..she is able to muliply 11X 24 in seconds..she is able to multiply 3 digit multiplication in our heads..not kidding..
