Lyra really likes her kibble. And she has a unique way of eating it. She actually does peck at her food. The video hasn't been sped up or altered.
Lyra has a neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. It interferes with her coordination. She is unable to stand or walk, but she gets around. She is loving and sweet and enjoys her life and her cat friends. Lyra was adopted in December 2011 from Saving Grace Rescue, a wonderful organization in San Francisco.
