Video reveals the secret meaning of the Yin and Yang symbol. Describes what the individual characters mean and a story behind this symbol from Tao Te Ching.
Actually the meaning of yinyang is not meant to be thought of in terms of right and wrong or good and bad, as those are moral interpretations. Yinyang is positive and negative. Not right or wrong. Not bad and good.
this is not yin and yang and your meaning is well off! im very suprised. Good and bad?? is that all the teaching you have learnt!!! and a farmer, find a real teacher
@DMKTENN ....you're right and wrong. First the word "anime" is the Japanese abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" Anime came to American attention in the 1960s and exploded in popularity in the 1980s so Anime is strong associated with Japanese. There is Chinese anime; referred to as "Manhua Anime" and it was suppressed by the Communist Party so Chinese anime was unknown outside of China. However in the 1990s a change of policy is allowing Manhua anime to re-emerge
@hopecharmer ...you are quite right. The common fallacy most make regarding YinYang is that it represents opposing forces; strict absolutes. It does not. The aspects are complementary and each has the potential of being the other. Each force ie aspects has value and meaning. In the cycles of flowing; as one expands and the other contracts the by-product is change and growth. And eventually balance; harmony.
@stocksandshares ....before I offer a reply may I ask what do you think Guardian Angels are expected to do for an individual? And if I may say there are no ridiculous questions. Any question ask with a sincerity for answers are good questions. There are only those who judge the validity of a question to be stupid or ridiculous are wrong to judge.
@orgea ...well, you're right and wrong. The Taiji you refer to is the most familiar for expressing YinYang as in the I-Ching and Taoism. The mirror opposite (as displayed in this vid) is also correct, just less prominent but still valid.
we know... yin mean cloudy and yang means sunny
