Lucerne, Switzerland

Lucerne is a city in Switzerland. It is the capital of the Canton of Lucerne and seat of the district with the same name. With a population of 57,890, Lucerne is the most populous city in Central Switzerland and focal point of the region. The city's agglomeration consists of 17 municipalities in three cantons with an overall population of nearly 200,000.

Due to its location on the shore of Lake Lucerne within sight of Mount Pilatus and Rigi in the Swiss Alps, Lucerne is traditionally considered first and foremost as a tourist destination. One of the city's famous landmarks is Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), a wooden bridge first built in the 14th century.

lucerne en hiver ça doit être beau aussi. ça je ne l'ai jamais visité sous un blanc manteau. Ma ville par mon père suisse et originaire de Lucerne né dans cette ville et décédé dans cette ville,, un bel écrin entre Lac et Montagnes, elle est belle cette ville. je l'adore tout comme mon autre ville Lyon en France où je suis née de mère française;

Avec son magnifique lac qui se connecte avec de nombreuses villes qui sont proches, en attente d'être visité!. A Lyon, nous étions en 1981, jusqu'en Espagne et en arrière, lorsque nous avons vécu en Allemagne. Salutations de Buenos Aires.

Thanks for your comment!. Lucerne is a beautiful City, indeed. We didn't know Lucerne, we have only visited Zurich and Basel before. All Switzerland is a real nice place to visit. I think that your Hotel was: Château Gütsch Lucerne. Best regards.

Thanks for the view! My wife and I took our honeymoon in Europe. We flew into Zurich at night and boarded a train to Lucerne. The next morning, I looked out the window and to this day, it was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. Our trip was flexible. After Switzerland, we traveled Italy, then Southern Germany.  We cut 2 days off Germany and returned to stay at Hotel Gutsch (? spelling). We will return to Lucerne when the kids are old enough!!!!
