Has anyone had any luck in installing SATA optical drives in a 2008 mac pro using the two ODD hidden ports?

WARNING: Your optical drive may come with a little plastic faceplate (bezel) fitted to the leading edge of the tray. This must be removed before fitting or the tray will not eject.

buxtontube is absolutely correct. All full size optical drives sold by OWC come with color instructions for removing the drive door bezel in systems that require this additional step.
