Without a doubt the best band ever. I still get goosebumps when I listen to Layne sing on the MTV unplugged album. Layne had the best voice to me of any rock/grunge singer. R.I.P. Layne. I never got to see you perform live, but you are still my favorite singer of all time.

Layne had a Siamese cat named Sadie that Jerry has/had it. No shortage of urban legends surrounding him sadly. I don't feel he got the acknowledgement for how great of an artist and vocalist he was. The industry helped turn him into what he was and cashed in the "Leaves" Layne raked in, but never allowed him to be truly recognized for his talent and never let him out of his contract to save him from himself.

When I hear this band, it reminds me of takeing acid when I was a teen-ager. It also reminds me of the crushing angst of life that was felt then. I heard when they found him that his dog's were beside him licking his wounds. I don't know if that is true or not, but sounds quite creepy. Even though the new Alice in Chains album sounds great, Layne will never be replaced. Love the video... I wonder if it was raining...
