Is that right you have abandoned your Nikon D80 for a Sony a700. Don't get me wrong Sony are good but you got rid of the Nikon. I think your going to regret that sooner rather than later

the D80 has more noise in low lights than the D40

The 18-135mm does have better IQ - and I'd pick that any day. Tell you what, I've owned both.

Only in the USA is it pronounced nai-kon, in Japan as well as in the rest of the world it is Nee-kon. Is it because of ignorance or are you just trying to be different.
