Made a number of pulls and quickly discovered that the intake gets heat soaked and power drops off with each run. Simply letting the engine cool for 5 minutes increased power by 8hp and 30 ft/lb. Even with all the heat, the engine made 255 hp and 300 ft/lb of torque.

  • Have you cleaned and regreased your distributor yet? If your mechanical advance is stuck you'll have heat issues, it's a common problem with this engine.

  • @anonymic79 Yes, I have done that. I modified the intakes and re-tested today, power is way up.

  • i know its a spoiler but why did you put a fridge on the back

  • @sootyferrari65 The car is built for SCCA's Solo EMod class and the large spoiler is needed to keep the car planted at speeds from 35-75 mph. They were removed for the dyno but the car also has a huge diffuser and front spoiler/splitter. Neccessary evils, I'm afraid

  • @sootyferrari65 I agree, but without them I am doomed to failure.
