How to Make a Proper Lane Change

After months of searching, it finally happened. He signaled his intent with 3 flashes, continued to use his flasher throughout the lane change and finished with 3 flashes. If you look close, you can see him flash the left blinker at the end. He even checked his mirrors multiple times after passing me and continued to use his blinkers properly for as long as I could see him. This is a sure sign that this was an off duty truck driver.

Nobody uses signals here. Pisses me off. I signal... check mirror, giving plenty of notice that I am about to change lanes... I am VERY conscious of this little aspect of driving. Is it too much to ask, people? If not a safety issue how about a little courtesy! It's like it was not even taught in Drivers Ed! Oh wait... do they have Driver's Ed in Mexico?

His left signal flashed a bit because he manually turned off the right flashers and he briefly hit the contact for the left blinker while doing so.

nice! I do that but sometimes I tend to let the blinks stop once im in the lane at least when im fully in the lane!

ive been doing this lately. i was a emt for years and driving a box ambulance you cant see anything behind you. if you just do a signal and instant lane change theres a chance some ahole could be flying up behind you and doing the same thing. happened to me once. so even in my daily driver i always make sure i signal for a couple flashes before changing lanes.
