Recorded on the 2nd of March 1976 - Rory's 28th Birthday - on the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test.

This is the fifth of 6 tracks performed, 5 of which are from the "Against the Grain" album which had just been released at the time.
The show stopped broadcasting during this song but Rory continued playing for the studio audience until his set was finished - always the great entertainer.

  • Been looking for this performance for years! Is it available on dvd?

  • @77pob Not the whole concert officially anyway, there is a DVD of a collection of Old Grey Whistle Test songs though which does have one of Rory's songs from this concert, not sure which one though

  • has anybody ever worked out what tuning he's using here?

  • I think he's in open A with a capo on the third making it open C, but i'm not 100% percent sure!
