Haunted A Jonas Horror Story (Chapter 19)

Under ten comments. I feel like you guys don't really enjoy this story anymore I know not every chapter is exciting but I take time to write it for you it's just nice when you guys reply.

*flash back* (this is back in the forest where I left last season with Kevin and Annie)

Annie's p.o.v

The closer we got the louder it became the sound of the collapsing building and flames seeming to surround us as they echoed against the trees. I could tell the sounds were beginning to play tricks on Kevin's mind. He continued to look over his shoulder back behind us searching through the trees. Suddenly Kevin came to a haut beside me turning in his steps. My breath became caught in my throat as I watched him lose his footing. His hands reached out in despair for the nearest tree but it was a waste effort as his fingertips grasped the weak twigs sending them into pieces.
Kevin I screamed as I watched his body disappear over the edge of the large drop the sound of the colliding forestation the only reply I was given

As fast as my legs could break into action I ran towards the edge, dropping to my knees as I reached the verge. My eyes searched frantically through the thick wild forestation but they failed to find any glimpse of Kevin just the trail of broken and dented brushes. Seconds seemed to drag like hours my chest tightening with each second the forest seemed to echo silence. Suddenly there was a loud crackling of leaves behind me screaming the warning of someones presences. Instantly I made a dive to my right. A few yards ahead there was a surrounding group of trees safety seem to call from them. My hands pushed off from the muddy surface as my feet dug into the ground sending me bolting from my crouching position. My movement more panicked then his sent me tumbling across the terrain. My footing slipped but I never collided with forest floor instead a heavy hand roughly pulled me backwards steadying me on my feet. Though it wasnt for long, I was soon brutally shoved to the side my back colliding painful with the tree behind me. My eyes squeezed shut as my body tried to shut out the pain. I felt his presence in front of me and my body shivered in pure disgust as I felt the leather from his gloves press against my lips covering my mouth. At once my eyes snapped open to meet his burning a light in pure evil. The eyes I had once sensed sadness in were no longer visible just an old forgotten memory. There was no goodness left inside of Eric now that much was clear to see. Corruption had finally taken over him and for the first time I was frozen in fear. This man could easily end it all.

"Its fine Annie Im ok" Kevin's voice breathed deeply from somewhere behind the brush I was now being held behind. I fought against Eric trying to make some kind of signal for him but it only resulted in Eric's grip tightening against me.
"ANNIE" Kevin cried making the birds fly from the trees above us. My knees buckled at the sound of his pain as Eric's hands continued to keep me silent held tightly against the trunk of the tree. Suddenly Eric's eyes snapped to mine.
"It was never meant to be like this" he breath hes cold breath hitting the side of my neck sending chills down my spine
"But you had to be difficult, theres no other way now" he tried to convince me but it was no use his words made no sense to me only to him. In that moment I knew this experience had gotten to him as much as it had to us. He griped my upper arm tightly in his grasp as he pulled me from the tree out into the open. There Kevin was collapsed to his knees his forehead sinking softly into the mud beneath him.
"Annie" he muttered completely broken and it broke me to. Gently Eric's hand left my mouth trailing along my arm as I felt him reach for his pocket. At once my body frozen, I couldn't put together the words I longed to call to Kevin, to warn him. No my mind was frozen my breath caught in my chest as my heart tried to escape ricocheting against my ribs. I felt the cold of the metal softly trace my skin as he taunted me griping my arm tighter in his hand. He leant it against my temple the metal no longer seeming cold as the rim seemed to burn against my skin. This was really it. My feet seemed to buckle under my legs crushing the leaves underneath us as Eric's grip kept me standing.

At the sound Kevin's head snapped up from the floor and at once he was on his feet. I watched as his body began to tremble his eyes darting between the both of us finally settling on mine. I should have tried to comfort him tried to show him how much I loved him through that one look but I couldnt. My world was collapsing around me I didn't want to leave this world to leave him. The only look I could give him was one of fear. As Eric played with my life in front of both mine and Kevin's very eyes...
