Since tensions began mounting in Kyiv in January 2014, the Ukrainian Red Cross has been on the front line, helping all the injured without distinction. So far, 300 people have received treatment. This short video shows the Ukrainian Red Cross in action.

The Ukrainian Red Cross and the ICRC remind everyone that the Red Cross emblem provides protection for military medical services and relief workers in armed conflicts.

The emblem may not be used by people or organizations that are not entitled to do so under international humanitarian law and national legislation.
