  • This year I visited Jackson's Mill (WV) where he was raised and revisited Chancellorsville Battlefield and the spot where he fell. All I have left is to get to Lexington to his grave and I'll have run the whole gamut. I'm a great admirer as well.

Something I found stunning while standing there in the room was how accurately the movie "Gods and Generals" captured the sound of the loudly ticking clock breaking the silence while they waited. It was kind of eerie.

  • went here along with the virginia battlefield loop, being a confederate reenactor and great admirer of Jackson, drove the 23 miles to see Guinea station, very interesting place, was very neat to think i was standing in the same room where the General spent his last days, very very neat place, and will probably go back very soon, just such an interesting place.
