Every good scientist is laughed at by his peers.

Einstein for example was the but of many jokes.

It does not stop those same peers from quoting articles.

Dawkins does not care. He even publishes jokes made about him in his own books. See for example "Dawkins has re-discovered the organism" in "The Extended Phenotype".

Dawkins helped revolutionise the view we take of evolutionary processes in the 1970's and may be doing the same again today.
