Bill O'Reilly does an excellent job of analysis between President Obama's and former Vice President Dick Cheney's debate regarding National Security. As he says at the start, if you hate Mr. Obama or if you hate Mr. Cheney, don't bother watching. This is for fair-minded people who want the best for our country.
The point is, Obama is in line with many prominent Generals and "war heroes" who resisted some of the more egregious and unsightly moves of the Cheney admin. The mere act -- it is an "act" -- of narrowing the debate to "Obama vs Cheney" is obfuscation and propaganda. REAL news would consider the views of ALL the mil officers who resisted Bushco, plus super "radical" Col Hackworth who dissed Joint Chiefs, and even Gen Smedley Butler who wrote War is a Racket. They don't want us to think beyond

~both political need to die! They have become one and the same and I sure wish you conservatives would wake up and smell the coffee on this. All you GOP types do is take about Obama this and Obama that---you should talking about what its going to take to restore our government to being a Constitution based one and not about how either party can stay in power!~

people really need to read the freaking geneva convention. the geneva convention has already outlined what we do to illegal combatants (i.e terrorists). people who fight for no country, wear no battle uniform, and consistantly use the civilian population as a blanket to hide them are supposed to be executed on the spot according to the geneva convention. we, instead, detain them, and many detainees have actually gained weight.

First off, waterboarding is not torture. That's an opinion you share with others.
I do not like the idea of torture any more than you. But, I don't like the idea of what happens to a cow in order to get a hamburger either.
The point.... neither are civilized humans...with no expressed rights under the Gen. C. or Constitution... though Obama and his far left ideologues are trying to give that privilege to BOTH.
If acid in THEIR face would save my daughter, throw the acid!

I don't believe abortion should be outright banned.
And if the Geneva Convention doesn't apply to terrorists, then why not rip out their fingernails? Or Throw acid in their eyes? Hell, why not make the Saw movie franchise a reality? If we're intent on torturing our prisoners, then let's REALLY torture them.

If the GOP is overrun with the "Snowes" and "Grahams", then it WILL die, and R.I.P. if it sucks up to the Hollywood types.
It appears it is affecting you, if you indeed have conservative roots, which it appears you do.
Torture is OUT for "...uniformed personnel" of countries at war with us...AND ONLY THEM. (Plz read the G. Conv.'s)
Gay marriage is a moral issue which we do not share the same opinion. Face it, the equation for gay reproduction equals "0". They become genetic parasites.

Relatively pro life is like relatively pregnant. People have the right to exist, even though other people have caused their existence...period.
I believe in the Geneva conventions...which were written for "...uniformed military personnel." The terrorists who were waterboarded were men with no country, trying to destroy ours...no rights under the Geneva conventions or the Constitution. We owe them no rights.

I am for small gov't, relatively pro-life, and a strong military. What made you think I was otherwise?
Is it because I believe we should adhere to the Geneva Conventions? Or maybe because I think we shouldn't deny others basic human rights, like that to marry whomever they so please.

Your problem is, you want the GOP to DIE, and you don't even know it. You want to kick moderates like Olympia Snowe out of the party. Torture is NOT up for debate. If you think the Republican party stands for torture, then either you are a very sick little man, or the Republican party has taken a turn for the worse.
Being pro-marriage is NOT liberal. Freedom and justice for all, even those I don't agree with, is what America stands for. Why not tell blacks they can't marry?

Ha, ha, ha. That's funny. You seem so intelligent to yourself, but to those of us who know your puke, you are still a social liberal.
I'm not asking you to leave the Republican party because there's no room for you, but just a suggestion so you can be with those who think like you. Because true conservatives don't. You and your idols in Californication, are skewing the GOP into something it is not.
