Joachim van den HOVE (1567? - 1620) "BERGAMASCA"
Siegfried Andreae - Vihuela
Joachim van den Hove was a popular flemish lutist, composer, arrangeur and lute teacher (e.g. of the Princes of Oranien).
About the Bergamasca and it´s importance for (nearly) all later music, plese read the infos for our Uccellini video.
This is a typical example, however a very short one. such, i added the first couplet (only strumming the chords C-F-G-C) and the last couplet (found by Adalbert Quadt as a fragment about 40 years ago, but it´s a pretty fitting, slighly more virtuoso finale).
The pictures show the variablity of Coryphantha vivipara (Cactaceae) from south Canada. All plants were grown from seed and in a not heated glasshouse in Berlin/Germany. Not low temperatures (to - 40 °C at their habitats) can kill this species, but excessive moisture and temperatures at about zero.
To get high quality seeds of Cacti or Lithops, please vistit the ebay account of "siegfriedandreae" (or google for "Berlin-Bohnsdorf Lithops") or write a priv. message ;-))) .
