Flying Colors is Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Dave LaRue (bass), Neal Morse (keyboards, vocals), Casey McPherson (lead vocals, guitar), and Steve Morse (guitar). "This album has bits and pieces of what you'd expect from each of us," says Portnoy. "The sum of all its parts led to brand new, unchartered territory for everyone involved."

The formation of Flying Colors began with a simple idea: virtuoso musicians and a pop singer joining together to make new-fashioned music the old fashioned way. Refreshing, classic, old and new, the recordings are saturated with the many styles, tones and hues of the players who in becoming a band have delivered a unique fusion of vintage craftsmanship and contemporary music.

This is just me talking but i think Portnoy should do this Flying Colors thing full time. Adrenaline Mob is "ok" for me but this is 1000x better :)))

Labrie can sing, it' just tough to hit those ridiculous high notes that were recorded 20 years ago... after suffering such a devastating injury to his vocal chords. He can do it, but singing like that for three hours takes a toll on your voice.

What studio was the project recorded in? It is amazing seeing some of my favorite most respected musicians of all time. I have had the pleasure, and honor, to do a GC clinic sound for Steve Morse, Steve Lukather and crew. I wish there was a way to get this music more visible, I will do my best. I truly believe the more people hear it the larger the fan base will grow. AMAZING ! ! !
