Elite4Africa

Just 45 a minute drive outside the highly modernized city of Lagos, Nigeria, 50 orphans live in a suburb village. Nestled in the lush green flatlands, the poorly constructed buildings houses the underprivileged orphans from the age of 4-27, each one with his or her own unique survival story. Malnourishment, lack of education opportunity, and bounded by the walls of poverty, these orphans suffer every day, hoping for a change. Each individual orphan is unique in the story they have to share with you; the unwritten story of the future which lies ahead can be written by you.

The long-term goal of ELITE4Africa is to partner with youth, mentors, leaders, agencies and authorities to improve the social, economic, for children and youth in Lagos by:

-providing a youth to youth Mentorship Program by the means necessary for mentors in Canada for Orphans in Lagos, Nigeria.

-life skills development and outings for age specific orphans where valuable social, confidence and motivation skills are instilled.

-building a leadership facility at the orphanage and to equip the facility with a mini library, study area, computer room and whiteboard for teaching.

-providing children and youth access to a basic continuum of timely, evidence-based leadership, confidence building, and team working programs.

-providing new resources for early promotion of healthy dietary plans.

-building capacity in orphanage caretakers so they are better able to prevent and

-mitigate potential effects of harmful factors in the children's or youth's environment.
