I don't have an EWI, but i do use garageband. Those sounds are available in GarageBand. Just add a New Track and choose Software Instrument and you'll be able to control the dozens if not hundreds of instruments in GarageBand using any MIDI controller, like an EWI. Or just a keyboard (even the Musical Typing keyboard in GarageBand works).

Amazing stuff on the EWI!! I just got mine yesterday and was wondering if maybe you had some tips or pointers that you could give me. I'm also using a MacBook with Garage Band, but I don't know where you found those sounds. . . . any help would be great! Thanks!

Dude...you make me wana get my EWI back out again...I haven't played it in months I have the same model...I want a program like garageband that's free though so I can hook it up, any recommendations?...nice vid by the way...:)...

Hi BenRodenburg! I read some stuff about EWI's synth and it has not original sounds like flute, piano etc, right? I think you must buy a 90US$ Midi Sounds Pack to can play this sounds, is that correct?

I hooked up my EWI to my macbook. In the video i play sounds from the Garageband package wich come with the macbook as a standard software package.
macbook is like 1300 euros in my country
you can play other sounds with modules and stuff but they are more expensive than software

An Ewi work via Midi. With midi you can play any kind of instrument you want.
Piano, Organ, Flute, Violin, Guitar. Name it!
you should check out michael brecker on the ewi on youtube. Hes god to me!
