This aircraft went out of service a few years before this video was shot. Soon thereafter there were none left flying. This was one of the last opportunities to have seen it fly.

  • I am looking for footage of the Vulcan falling like a leaf. Forward nose up, cut power, falls rearward then forward, repeating several times befor power engaged and off into the sunset or anyother destination in mind.

I've Seen it in person several times.but can't find a video. ANYONE?

  • I dont have anything like that. Sounds interesting though.

Perhaps a maneuver only a large delta wing could do?

  • Saw one of these flying at RAF Woodford in the 80s. A stunning sight and sound! To see that massive delta shape full-on as it turns and hear that almighty roar makes quite an impression on a child :)

Thank goodness they've saved the last airworthy one with days to spare.

  • This is probably that same display. RAF Bentwaters is the sister base to RAF Woodbridge. They are about two miles apart. The airshows took place at Bentwaters.

  • so pretty, so amazing! i would 'die' to see one flying, and it makes me mad to see people in the clip walking by not looking up for this incredibly sexy big evil wonderfull plane! since i was a kid i fell in love with this one and the starfighter...

  • I didnt realise they were that big!

    nice plane though.

  • Yes i'll cite a source, just about any book available about the history of the Royal Air Force!

  • I got those figures somewhere when I was editing the video. Maybe I stand corrected, do you care to cite a source?

  • Get your facts right Chevick! there wer no Vulcans' in squadron service before 1956/7
