Description: This is a remake of one of my first videos ever (I actually think it was my second video... not positive on that). It's completely revamped: better-quality footage, and completely rematched and retimed.

This is to show that Sam truly was a hero. Sam has always been my favorite character (both in the books and the movies), so I was determined to make a video about him. I know that this has to be one of the most over-used songs in fan-vidding, but I don't think I've ever seen it done like this.

This video is dedicated to Sean Astin, one of my all-time favorite actors, who brought my favorite character from the books to life in the best possible way.

@Orbelain92 yeah... i only recently got my hands on the series, but the comparison should be interesting. now i just have to find it in the massive box of books yet to be unpacked at my new apartment XD but its fantastic to know that that particular scene isnt in there. powerful as it was, it... just never sat well with me. always thought it was just me being thoroughly biased where Sam is concerned hehe

@CassandraMotou this is why I don't like this scene...it is not in the book, because Frodo would never dismiss Sam ...never. Even when the power of the ring completely overwhelms Frodo, he never dismiss Sam. They are a great team. But Sam is the loyalty in person. :)

It must be even more difficult to be Sam, the sidekick. He has to try harder than anyone else, knowing all the while that no one will ever remember what he did. The more he does, the closer he gets to Frodo and the more he is overshadowed by him. He doesn't do anything "by himself" because he makes Frodo's journey possible. He doesn't try to recklessly do it himself, but loyally sacrifices fame for the cause.
