The USS Cavalla- a WWII era submarine, commissioned in 1944 sank the Japanese aircraft carrier Shokaku (which participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor) near the Philippines on its maiden voyage that year. It's now berthed in Galveston Texas and open for public tours.

  • Oh shoot! i remember that from history channel!!!! rofl. wasnt the carrier sunk the japanese flagship that later exploded due to engine damage?

  • the cavala got moved a bit by Ike but other than that its fine. The hope to have Seawolf park open in a few weeks.
