Actually, teams from Edmonton managed to make it into the finals 6 of 8 years, 'failing' to win more than two in a row. The Habs', Islanders' and Leafs' dynasties are in a class all their own.(especially Montreal) To date, Edmonton's five Stanley Cups do not fall in the same class. (...unless you're an Oilers fan)

The only dynasties in Stanley Cup history are Toronto 1947-49, Montreal 1956-60, Toronto 1962-64, Montreal 1976-79 and the NY Islanders 1980-83.Edmonton was awesome but could never win more than two in a row.Going to the finals 6 of 8 years is what made Edmonton great too.But even Glenn Anderson admitted that the Oilers failing to win more than two in a row was simply not going to compare to what the Leafs,Habs and Islanders accomplished.Thanks for posting.
