Also I am with Rosie on the breakfast thing. I eat a filling breakfast or I get hungry quickly and find myself snacking more throughout the day. My staple breakfast is a whole wheat English muffin sandwich. I toast an English muffin with a bit of parmasean (or asiago) cheese, and add a fried or boiled egg to make a sandwich. Lastly I have a banana. All that is only 6 points and keeps me going all morning.
What works for me is bringing a lot of healthy food and then eating what I want. I try to eat something every break I have. Things I like: cheddar babybel cheese, garlic and herb laughing cow (1 pt), crackers, hummus, carrot sticks, FRUIT (usually an apple, banana and clementine oranges), walnuts and almonds. I also always keep a granola or Luna bar with me so I won't get too hungry on my commute back (but I like to skip that for a nice dinner)
I have started trying to fit exercise in three times a week to was one of my new years resolutions, something I found works for me is to actually plan exercise into my diary and it feels quite good when you tick it off when you have done it :-)
I completely agree with the signals and drinking less carbonation! Awesome points! I also have Greek yogurt and a banana for breakfast it is so filling.
I think cooking is a great thing. I know it helps me be excited about dinner every day. Personally, I am/was not a cook and it did frighten me too but I get a lot out of it. I know I find BBC Good Food guide a brilliant for recipes and it gives all the nutritional info which is a huge bonus.
A quick note on your brekkie plan, just make sure your getting enough calories in the morning. You need that to start your day. I know it always affects me badly when I have a small breakfast.

Great idea to learn to cook. The WW website has pretty easy recipes, tasty too.
