its called double tounging its not hard,......well for a decent player

sounds a lot like legato double tongue or "doodle" tonguing....where it really is double tongued except the movement is all on the front of the tongue, so people think its single tongued because there isnt a "KA" or "GU"

say "DOODLE"....and the result is a much softer attack

It sounds like you are very knowledgable in the field of articulation. Could you please send me some information that I can share with my students to improve their technique. I did not major in brass in college. Actually, I was a percussion major.
