@amindbody I see what you're getting at, but my point is not that the building of the mosque and cultural center is suspicious, but rather what the panel in this video are talking about, regarding the Imam being a slumlord. I think private citizens have the right to purchase private property and build what they want, even in your example. I think the government can investigate if any laws are broken and private outrage should be allowed as well. There's no right to be free from public criticism.

@Thorbie let me preface by saying i believe in the constitution very much, as i am an independent constitutional libertarian. have you heard of the indian removal act? what would happen if there was an indian removal act of 2010 after which a bunch of rich guys wanted to build religious cultural centers where the indians would eventually die of starvation and sickness. would you want to investigate that suspicious activity? the cherokee trail of tears left about 4000 cherokee's dead.
