Hey man! I didn´t understand a word of what you said but I´m sure you are crazier than me about your D85.

Thanks for sharing your D-85. It's been a long... long ... time ago since I played the D-85 for the last time. But it's still fresh in my remembrance how beautiful its sound was. And indeed, it was kind of big analog synthesizer in its time.
Your D-85 seems still to be in a very pristine condition ! Respect !

I am always up for a side-by-side match of GX-1 and D-85. I will even give the GX-1 a two-hour head start for tuning : )

"Blow a GX-1 off the stage"..? Are you kidding me..?

Yes ; ) Of course I am kidding. But also serious in that while the GX-1 was the R&D Flagship for Yamaha, later descendents of the technology (CS-80, E-70, E-75 and D-85) come pretty darn close to the sound, feel and vibe of the GX-1 . . . .. I did not realize this until I got the D-85. while strolling through some sounds, started to hit GX-1 sounding tones. And so on. Hey ... I got your attention and it's all in fun. D-85 is probably as close as I will ever come to playing a GX-1 ; )

Think of the D-85 as a pre-set GX-1 for about $9,995 dollars less than a GX-1 ; )

It is a kind of sickness, yes. And as of yet, no support group or anything like Electones Anonymous. Anyway ...
