@auntiebabs actually, coming from nick burt (me) beginners are white belts at this dojo. Blue was the third rank if i remember correctly.

Osu I'm from New Zealand and we aint fake, feel free to train if your down this way, we don't do point sparring either.

I once took Seido and the instructors are mostly fakers. I honestly don't recommend Seido.

I tend to agree, but you do have to give them a break...they are just kids. If the adults were doing this on the other hand, then I would agree they are not ready to be promoted to said rank.

I'm in the that I'm the white belt who's in the front now I'm a green belt and the ranks go from 10th kyu to 1thkyu and I've trained with a lot of those kids and you're right some like to gloat but you can't judge everyone a lot of people are my friends in there and I put everything I had in that promotion every one did as best they could so you shouldn't be rude

congratulations for the kids.
but they better not believe they are actually at the level that there belt color is. they need muc much more work. it doesnt seem like any of them want to be martial artists. they all seem like they just wanna become a black belt then gloat about it. I cant say everyone wants that. but they need to but more heart into it.

At this dojo BLUE belts are just beginners, one level above WHITE.
They have 7 more levels to go to become BLACK belts. So they've got years of work ahead of them if that's their goal.
Also keep in mind that with kids it might not be their idea, but their parent prompting.

Osu!!! Good job!!!! I was so surprised to find a video from TW on youtube!! There's Shihan and Kyosi and Sempai T! I love Kyoshi's story of how Sifu Colleen described kata!
