You make it sound like single mothers are constantly being given preferential treatment and single men just get crap. Single mothers get discriminated against all the time b/c employers assume single people will be able to work whatever hours and single parents may have to call in if their kid is sick/injured/etc.
And yes construction is hard but even if women want to work construction (or any traditionally male job) they're usually told it's "man's work" & face discrimination.

Then why are single women with children promoted over equally qualified single men with no children. Big wigs who run the company think she needs the money and the single man doesn't. This is socialism.
Another thing: A woman will never be given a job were she is required to do hard manual labor. Usually she is given
a comfortable office environment where it is heated or air conditioned. Try doing outdoor construction in 100 degree weather or in the freezing temps. Constr should pay more
