@spiritsA Canada is evil. Socialized medicine is something only Hitler would be proud of. The US fought Hitler and won, and if Canada tries to spread it's version of health care to the United States, we will fight you too. Just shut-up, keep your health care propaganda to yourself, and supply us with your natural gas and oil sands, and everything will be OK.

US Consumers don't deserve health care. If you want health-care than enlist in the military and earn your health-care. Obese consumers who sit on their asses and consume endlessly and purchase all their crap from China deserve no health-care.

would we pay more or less if Insurance vanished completely? Have you ever looked at what the insurance actually payed the hospital. Then you still end up owing 1,000's of dollars.

If Barbara has money for acrylic nails she has money for insurance.

Another reason why we need to demand that our health care system be reformed.
The problem is we leave it to the politicians to make our rules even tho we all know they are money motivated and care little about the common persons well being.

Damn this is a no win situation.

grandkadolz oohh, these insurance trolls are now using a new strawman "the fed vs states rights" for deregulation of selling corporate insurance across state lines...as if that's the panacea!!! States Rights are a MUST, but of course they still glibly say healthcare is NOT a human right in the same breath

What is this stupid story? Feels like a cheap 6 o clock news reel. Underplaying pre-existing conditions, and then people getting worries that unemployed individuals will put food and homes above health care! What a concept! And then they seal it with saying that even unemployed you should buy the insurance, because get this, it hurts others. Aw, if only the corporations who sponsored that cared that they were hurting others.

and COBRA is very expensive!!!
the rethuglicans, the insurance companies and the banks have WON
I think what also needs to be a focus is the young people like me, who just graduated from college and don't have insurance. I work hard at two jobs, nearing 60 hours a week, but make no where close to enough to afford health insurance.

In Canada there's no such thing as health insurance. All costs are paid through our tax dollar. Learn from it United States of America.
